Our Story
Leika Sensory Creations began in 2021 when two siblings brought together a love of woodworking and sensory play. What started with handcrafted tables and homemade playdough has grown into a space where creativity, learning, and play come together for children and families. Today Leika offers sensory kits, playdough jars, and playful experiences that inspire imagination and support development. The name Leika means “play” in Scandinavian and reflects both our heritage and the joy of exploring the world through all the senses.

The most important ingredient to a great sensory experience is the base. The base is designed to give the ultimate sensory input and build those fine motor skills.
People often ask us - “How do you keep sensory play from becoming a total mess?” Our response is often - “You don’t!” The thing is...play is often messy whether it is legos, barbies, dinosaurs, the sandbox, etc. Messy means imagination, creativity, and adventure!
Sensory play is an engaging, highly stimulating play experience that often incorporates the five senses while building motor skills, creativity, mindfulness, and brain development.
